The Peg Capron Social Justice Award was created to be given to a member of the congregation for contributions to social justice exemplifying Unitarian Universalist principles.
The first award was given to our beloved Peg Capron in 1999. She was a social activist all her life for many causes in many communities from the East Coast to the West Coast. She brought her warmth, her deep convictions and her dedication to (in Peg’s words) “working to improve the world even in small incremental steps believing it could make a difference and is inherently worthwhile”.
