Location and Map

Location

The Unitarian Universalist Church of Palo Alto is located at 505 East Charleston Road in Palo Alto, CA (near Middlefield Road). We are close to the San Antonio Road exit of US Highway 101, and a short distance from Alma Street.

Note: The driving directions on commercial map programs (Google, Yahoo!, Mapquest, etc.) are not as easy to follow as the directions given below.

By Bicycle

We have brand-new bike racks that accommodate 20 bicycles. Join the many people who get to UUCPA by bike each Sunday!

By Public Transportation

The #35 bus runs every half-hour on weekdays and Saturdays and every hour on Sundays, and stops at the corner of Middlefield and Charleston, one block from the church. For schedule details, go to http://www.vta.org/schedules/SC_35.html .

The #22 bus runs frequently on El Camino. From the Charleston/Arastradero stop, it is a .9 mile walk northeast on Charleston to UUCPA. (~15 minutes walk - you are about halfway when you cross Alma St.)

The nearest Caltrain station is the San Antonio station. From there you can take the #35 bus (see above), or a pleasant 1.7 mile bike ride or walk through the Greenmeadow neighborhood. For Caltrain schedule details, go to http://www.caltrain.com/timetable.html . You can also catch the #35 bus from the downtown Palo Alto Caltrain Station.

Driving directions

If Highway 101 is convenient:

Take 101 to San Antonio Road west
Turn right on Charleston
Turn right into the church parking lot shortly after crossing Middlefield

If Interstate 280 is convenient:

Take I280 to Page Mill east
Turn right on Junipero Serra Boulevard
Turn left on Arastradero Road (which becomes Charleston)
Cross El Camino Real and the railroad tracks at Alma
Just after crossing a small concrete bridge, turn left into the church parking lot

Parking is available in the church parking lot at the rear, and on Sunday, next door at the Community Association For Rehabilitation (C.A.R.) parking lot located at 525 East Charleston Road.
