Reverend Daniel Harper

Dan is passionate about religious education and comes highly recommended from his previous congregations.

Dan comes to us from New Bedford, Massachusetts where he serves as the parish minister in a small congregation. After being raised Unitarian Universalist in New England, he worked as a Director of Religious Education before enrolling in divinity school. He has served several churches, including as Assistant Minister of Religious Education at the Berkeley Church. Dan brings with him to California his long term partner of 19 years. Although not a church-goer herself, Carol Steinfeld is a writer specializing in ecological pollution prevention issues and water reuse.

Dan's career goal is to be a religious educator in a mid-sized congregation like ours. He likes the opportunities and challenge of being a Minister of Religious Education, of developing programs that engage children, youth, and adults in their religious life. He looks forward to the prospect of being a second minister in our congregation.
