Stewards Honor Roll

July 2006

Our Steward of the Month for July is Susan Plass.

For her service on the P&A committee and the Web Committee, hosting our annual Passover Seder, chairing the Coming of Age Task Force, serving on Jackie Kelly’s ordination committee and making delicious cookies whenever duty calls, we honor Susan Plass as Steward of the Month.

On the Honor Roll for their contributions to UUCPA are:

Susan Evard for tackling some RE Archive filing.

Our summer substitute office volunteers — Ben Hammett, Ila Keiper, Edith Jacobi, Sally Ahnger, Lindy Peterson, Bryce Perry, Kathy Parmentier, and Florence Haas. Their willingness to come in made it possible for Sara Newcomb, Pat Thomas, Kay Pauling and Harry Wachob to have some time off. Fred & Janet Buelow for doing the payroll and bookkeeping for the last year and a half. They willingly took this on when Kristina left so that her replacement could take over the secretarial duties.

Pat Thomas for taking over publishing our weekly Order of Service. Lauri Landauer for checking all of the first aid kits and classroom bins every quarter and restocking them. This usually involves multiple afternoons here as first she removes unwanted items, cleans the bins and then finds out what is missing. She turns in a shopping list and then comes back when the supplies are in to restock.

Hurd Twombly, who is retiring from service on the Personnel & Administration Committee.

Phil Hodge for all his work with the Thespians. He spends hours making clever charts to assign parts to all who attend, so that he can assign parts fairly, and since so many people want to attend he holds two meetings of the same play during the summer months.

The Whole team for Jackie’s Ordination: Kay Pauling, Lynn Grant, Rae Bell, Fred Hawley, Bill McFadden, Sara Newcomb, Joe Chee, Bill Hilton, Dave Weber, George Bunn, Kristi Iverson, Catherine O’Brien, Karen Saltzman, Josie Stultz, Donna Aronson, Jean Duda, Susie Idzik-Meyer, Jack Owicki, Susan Owicki, Kathy Parmentier, Hershey Julien, Greg Meyer, Phyllis Cassel, Joan Fox, and all those who prepared that fabulous food. We especially thank the Ordination Committee: Litsie Indergand, Susan Plass, Lisa Helmonds and Jenise Fuess.

What a wonderful celebration it was!
