THE SOAPBOX PLAYHOUSE ACTING COMPANY

has only four more days before opening night of their annual fund-raiser, and they are in desperate straits - financial and otherwise.  Subscriptions are down, debts are up, cash is non-existent, and the NEA is threatening to cut off their grant.  They've done Christmas Carol  every year so the veteran actors are bored, the new actors don't know their lines, and the costumes and props are wearing out.  Things couldn't possibly get worse.  Hah!

When:                Monday December 12, 2005 at 7:00
Where:              FIRESIDE ROOM
What:                Inspecting Carol
                          by Daniel Sullivan
Who:                  UUCPA Thespians
Why:                  To watch Dickens turn over in his grave

It wouldn't be Christmas be without Scrooge, Tiny Tim, and company.  Come join us and see how Dickens' masterpiece fares in this hilarious battle against an eclectic bunch of inept actors, each of whom has his or her own agenda.  You might be Larry/Scrooge who thinks Dickens' words can be improved upon.  Or Wayne/Tiny Tim who would rather be playing Richard III.  Or Zorah, the emotional founding director who - - but no;  you'll have to come and find out for yourself.

Send me an email: (thespians-info@uucpa.org), call me, or just show up on Monday, December 12.
