Art In The Lobby:  The Palous  Photographs by Bill Hilton

The Palous is a natural grassland on rolling hills in eastern Washington and western Idaho that has been farmed for more than a century.  A principal crop today is Canola or Rapeseed, which is virtually indistinguishable from Mustard  in the field.  The eight photographs were shot in June 2016.  In selecting eight, I wanted to emphasize the geometric qualities created by the interactions of farming and natural topography.
