Do you love to sing? Did you enjoy singing in the children’s choir last fall–or miss out on it? Our new musical Sunday school class begins on April 12.
Who: All children aged 6 and up
Who Else: This alternative Sunday school group will be led by UUCPA’s wonderful music director, Bruce Olstad
Where: The Choir Room
Why: To incorporate music education into religious education, and to bring children’s voices and leadership into the services
Time: 9:45 to 10:30 a.m. (regular Sunday School time)
Dates: Four Sundays, April 12, April 19, April 26, May 3
After singing together each of these four weeks, the Children’s Choir will sing in the Flower Communion service on May 10 (choir members may leave the 11 a.m. service after their piece early in the service).
After May 10, all children will rejoin their regular Sunday school groups.
Bruce works frequently with children as a staff member of the acclaimed Ragazzi Boys Chorus, in opera performances, and as a Teaching Artist in “Book to Bravo!”, the San Francisco Opera Guild’s program at Ohlone Elementary School in Palo Alto. Singers praise him for making singing together fun while helping them make beautiful music. The children who were in the group last fall had a great time, so if you love to sing, grab this chance! Any questions, e-mail Bruce.
