Coming of Age Service on May 21st

On Sunday, May 21, the teen participants in this year’s Coming of Age program will give their “credos,” or statements of religious identity. We cancel Sunday school classes on Coming of Age Sunday for two reasons: First, we really want children and middle schoolers to see the big kids leading a service, and we hope that children middle schoolers will think, “Some day I will be doing that.” Second, we have a hard time getting Sunday school teachers that day because our teachers mostly want to go hear the teens give their credos.

Younger children may not be able to make it through the whole service, so there will be child care as usual.
