On October 27, Lorraine Kostka and Jack Owicki started a project on iNaturalist to catalog living organisms on UUCPA’s campus (see the description below).  To participate, join UUCPA’s project on the iNaturalist website: https://www.inaturalist.org/projects/uucpa-web-of-existence

Here is the description of the first meeting:

BIOBLITZ

  • Date: Sunday, Oct 27
  • Time: 12:30-2 pm
  • Location: Fireside Room
  • Facilitator: Lorraine Kostka and Jack Owicki
  • Contact: Susan Owicki (susan_o@uucpa.org)
  • Registration: Not required

Come join us for a fun afternoon cataloging all the living beings with whom we share our UUCPA campus. We will introduce you to iNaturalist, a citizen science project and online social network of naturalists, citizen scientists, and biologists built on the concept of mapping and sharing observations of biodiversity across the globe. To use iNaturalist, you need to either install the iNaturalist app on a phone or tablet, or bring a digital camera. A few loaner devices will be available.
