DESCRIPTION:Celebration of the Life of Norm Conradson  [caption id="" align

 May of last year.[/caption]\n\nWe will gather in the Main Hall and online 
 to say a loving farewell to Norm Conradson\, who died in January at the ag
 e of 98.\n\nNorm and his wife\, Nancy Jensen\, joined UUCPA in 2010. He wa
 s a steady attendee of the Forum followed by the 11 a.m. service and coffe
 e hour\, gaining friends with his easygoing personality\, intellectual cur
 iosity\, and interest in people's lives. Norm addressed the congregation o
 n one of his landmark birthdays\, giving a brief history of his younger da
 ys\, when he trained as a meteorologist to guide planes and ships through 
 the typhoon-ridden Pacific in the Navy during World War II. This became hi
 s civilian profession\, and he met his first wife\, Diane\, during college
 \, at UCLA. They raised four children and were married for 54 years until 
 Diane's death.\n\nNorm considered himself an extremely lucky man to have f
 allen in love with two wonderful women\, both of whom\, he insisted\, were
  smarter than he was. He was over 80 years old when he and Nancy met and m
 arried\, and they felt blessed to have almost 15 years together until his 
 passing\, in the family home\, on January 27.\n\nNancy\, Norm's children\,
  and many other family members and friends welcome us all to share more me
 mories at the service on Sunday\, May 29\, at 2 p.m.\n\nTo join the gather
