 ng is right around the corner\, in this session we will explore the roots 
 of the Doctrine of Discovery** and how it continues to affect indigenous p
 eople up to today.  We will also talk about what really happened at the "
 original Thanksgiving dinner" and what we can do to recognize the true his
 tory when we gather this year with our families and friends.\n\n** The Doc
 trine of Discovery is the papally-blessed rationale that Europeans used to
  justify their exploitation of indigenous peoples.\n\nIf you would like to
