DESCRIPTION:Elder Journey  \n\n\n\nElder Journey meets on the second and fo
 urth Tuesdays of the month in Room 6 from 1:30 to 3 pm.\n\nSecond Tuesday 
 we focus on telling our personal stories\, read our favorite poems\, or di
 scuss our favorite books. Fourth Tuesday generally features a visit by one
  of our ministers and a topic of their choosing.\n\nIn the 2/16 service\, 
 we contemplated some questions related to what the novelist Chimamanda Ngo
 zi Adichi calls “a single story.” In this Elder Journey session\, we w
 ill watch her TED Talk together (volume up and subtitles on for full acces
 sibility)\, and then ask: What’s a time that you were seen as only a sma
 ll part of who you are\, a stereotype? What’s a time that you saw someon
 e else this way?\n\nCome to Elder Journey to share your experiences conn
 ected to these questions\, and maybe also to tell the group: Then what hap
 pened?\n\n\n\n
