SUMMARY:Green Sanctuary Fourth Friday Film - Teach Me To Be Wild
DESCRIPTION:Green Sanctuary Fourth Friday Film - Teach Me To Be Wild This
month we are screening the film Teach Me To Be Wild.\n\nThe filmmakers Ra
jesh Krishnan and Anne Veh will be joining us for this very special evenin
 g. After the film John Malloy (featured in the film and Healing Circles)
has offered to anchor a healing circle. The film helps create a safe spac
e and it lends itself well for a circle of reflection.\n\nHere is what the
filmmakers say about the film:\n“This film is a universal healing story
that brings together many interconnected elements: children\, animals\, n
ature\, silence and the power of safe\, non-judgemental listening spaces.
One of our greatest inspirations to make the film was witnessing how Steve
Karlin and John Malloy do not teach the children—rather\, they create a
“safe space” where the children learn experientially. As we began
screening the film in schools\, juvenile detention centers\, community gr
oups andspiritual institutions\, we experienced that the film was also na
turally culminating in creating a safe space. Although hurt and vulnerable
\, the children in the film share deeply with wisdom and clarity. Both the
children and the animals visibly heal\, creating a container that allows
for deep reflection.”\n\nTo learn more\, check out these links:\nHolding
