SUMMARY:Healing the Divide
DESCRIPTION:Healing the Divide  Healing the Divide is a UUCPA group that fo
 rmed after the 2016 election to ask: 1) what do we not understand about ot
 hers with more conservative viewpoints\, and 2) what can we learn that wil
 l help us communicate even across wide differences in belief.\nThis Sunday
  we will look at two intriguing articles from "A Nation Coming Apart\," a
  special issue of The Atlantic: "How America Ends" and "The Places Where
  the Recession Never Ended."    Each article will be summarized by a pre
 senter and then discussed by the group.\nThe meeting format is variable. I
 n the past\, we have discussed a book or article\, practiced communication
  skills\, explored our own beliefs about particular topics\, and interview
 ed guests whose views are different from ours.\n\nSnacks will be provided.
