 A group that formed after the 2016 election to ask: 1) what do we not unde
 rstand about others with more conservative viewpoints\, and 2) what can we
  learn that will help us communicate even across wide differences in belie
 f.\n\nOur country has problems\, actually\, many stubborn problems that ha
 ve persisted through several democratic and republican administrations.  
 Why can't we make progress in solving them? \n\nOne important reason: our
  increasing political polarization.  This is the biggest problem in Ameri
 ca .  Before we can begin solving all other problems\, we have to solve t
 his problem first.  Many Americans agree that the political divide is a b
 ig problem. \n\nMichael Abramson will present many slides discussing thes
 e issues:\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n 	How are we polarized? \n\n\n 	What are the divi
 ding lines?\n\n\n 	Why are we polarized?\n\n\n 	Why is our polarization ge
 tting worse?\n\n\n 	And most importantly\, what can we do about this divid
 e?\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nLet’s find answers together.  Our own country requires
