 d due to rain.\n\nReminder: We are leaving early for this hike (8:30am) an
 d I need your name if you plan to come.\nOn Saturday\, April 7\, we’re 
 joining my friend\, Tom Davids\, for a hike at La Honda Open Space Preserv
 e. This is a nine-mile hike in a recently opened area of the park. We will
  enjoy wide-open spaces\, long views\, early wild flowers\, and the compan
 y of large but peaceful bovine.\nWe must leave from UUFRC (2124 Brewster
  at Lowell) in Redwood City by 8:45am to meet Tom at the trail head. Arr
 ive at 8:30am to arrange carpools. The hike starts from Gate LH11 at the
  end of Sears Ranch Road.  There is a toilet at the trail head but not b
 eyond.\nWe’ll return to Redwood City by 3pm. Bring lunch and water.\nR
