This introductory session will cover a flavor of the Hindu way of life, the basic beliefs that underpin that way of life, some of the daily rituals, their inner meaning, the visual expression of them as seen in their art, dress, shrines, temples, the elaborate festivals that are so big a part of life, the arduous pilgrimages, their imprint on the landscape.

Mr. Raghu Seshadri came to this great and very admirable country in 1979, and after getting Master’s degrees in Computer Science at Oklahoma University and in Computer Engineering from UCSC, began work in the Valley, first at Fairchild and then several other companies. He currently works at Opsec Security. He has always been drawn to the simple and sophisticated philosophies of Hinduism, which he finds to be humane, sensible, practical, beautiful, and quite often, brilliant.
