DESCRIPTION:Intergenerational Service - Making Music Together  \nThere is n
 o Sunday school due to the Independence Day holiday today. However\, if yo
 u are in town this weekend\, it'll be a great service for kids to partici
 pate in. The service will consist mostly of music that we'll make together
  (with the help of wonderful guest pianist Ihang Lin): singing rounds\, si
 nging in harmony\, drumming along or playing whatever instrument you know 
 how to play (bring them!).\n\nI and a couple of song leaders will teach yo
 u all the songs as we go\, because our theme is Singing for Democracy\, ba
 sed on the conviction that to make a thriving democratic nation\, people n
 eed to connect with each other\, and that making music together is a great
  foundation for those connections.\n\n\n(This also makes it very much an R
 E week\, because our educational goals for our kids include having fun\, f
 eeling part of a community\, learning skills associated with liberal relig
 ion [like singing!]\, and being prepared to become a UU adult one day if t
 hey choose to--all of which relate to this service.)\n\nLooking forward to
