 ce lands on Mother's Day this year\, so the theme will be "Mother's Day Pr
 ayers for Children." We will draw on the historical impetus for Mother's D
 ay when\, in 1870\, Julia Ward Howe made a Mother's Day Proclamation for P

  proclamation\, click here.)\n\nMFVP's Peaceful Presence will include pray
 ers and reflections from mothers in the Middle East\, immigrant mothers\, 
 mothers concerned about education\, and from Mother Earth. As one human fa
 mily\, let us gather to share prayers and commitment\, resisting the force
 s that harm any of our children\, inspiring us to work for justice\, compa
 ssion and wholeness for all children\, all beings\, all creation.\n\nWe wi
 ll gather outdoors at King Plaza (in front of Palo Alto City Hall) at 5pm
