DESCRIPTION:Sacred Text Reading Group (Saturday)  \n\n\nA twice-weekly onli
 ne sacred text reading group. We meet on Saturdays\, 4-5\, and on Wednesda
 ys\, 12-1. All are wide open and you are welcome!\n\nUsing a spiritual-pra
 ctice approach\, in each session we will explore a different brief scriptu
 ral text in depth. The aims of the sessions are educational (learning some
 thing about the texts and traditions)\, spiritual/moral (discovering what 
 the texts ask of us)\, and community-building (getting to know each other 
 better). Our practice usually follows this version of Lectio Divina.\n\nTh
 e facilitator will have a version of the text available to share\; “brin
 g” your own if you like. All are welcome\, as are your suggestions of fu
 ture texts. Group members also take turns facilitating\, if they want to t
 ry that role.\n\n\nOn Saturday\, March 26\, 2022\, our text is the first s
 tanza of "A Dialogue of Self and Soul\," by William Butler Yeats.\n\nMy So
 ul. I summon to the winding ancient stair\;\n   Set all your mind upon 
 the steep ascent\,\n   Upon the broken\, crumbling battlement\,\n   
 Upon the breathless starlit air\,\n   Upon the star that marks the hidd
 en pole\;\n   Fix every wandering thought upon\n   That quarter wher
 e all thought is done:\n   Who can distinguish darkness from the soul?\

 would like a brief orientation\, arrive ten minutes early. And all are wel
 come to stay ten minutes after as well\, for more getting-acquainted time.
