DESCRIPTION:Sacred Text Reading Group (Tom Robbins)  \n\n\nA twice-weekly o
 nline sacred text reading group. We meet on Saturdays\, 4-5\, and on Wedne
 sdays\, 12-1. All are wide open and you are welcome!\n\nUsing a spiritual-
 practice approach\, in each session we will explore a different brief scri
 ptural text in depth. The aims of the sessions are educational (learning s
 omething about the texts and traditions)\, spiritual/moral (discovering wh
 at the texts ask of us)\, and community-building (getting to know each oth
 er better). Our practice usually follows this version of Lectio Divina.\n\
 nAmy will have a version of the text available to share\; “bring” your
  own if you like. All are welcome\, as are your suggestions of future text
 s. Group members also take turns facilitating\, if they want to try that r
 ole.\n\nOur text for Wednesday\, October 20\, 2021 is from the novel Even 
 Cowgirls Get the Blues by Tom Robbins:\n\n\n\nNature is not infallible. Na
 ture makes mistakes. That's what evolution is all about: growth by trial a
 nd error. Nature can be stupid and cruel . . . That's okay. There's nothin
 g wrong with Nature being dumb and ugly because it is simultaneously--para
 doxically--brilliant and superb.\n\n\n\n\nFor check-in / getting-acquainte
 d time\, and for those who are new and want a brief orientation to the pra
 ctice\, the room will be open ten minutes before and ten minutes after the
