DESCRIPTION:Sacred Text Reading Group (Erich Fromm)  \n\n\nA twice-weekly o
 nline sacred text reading group. We meet on Saturdays\, 4-5\, and on Wedne
 sdays\, 12-1. All are wide open and you are welcome!\n\nUsing a spiritual-
 practice approach\, in each session we will explore a different brief scri
 ptural text in depth. The aims of the sessions are educational (learning s
 omething about the texts and traditions)\, spiritual/moral (discovering wh
 at the texts ask of us)\, and community-building (getting to know each oth
 er better). Our practice usually follows this version of Lectio Divina.\n\
 nAmy will have a version of the text available to share\; “bring” your
  own if you like. All are welcome\, as are your suggestions of future text
 s. Group members also take turns facilitating\, if they want to try that r
 ole.\n\n\nOur text for Wednesday\, November 17\, 2021\, is from Escape fro
 m Freedom by the psychologist Erich Fromm:\n\n\n"To know what one really w
 ants is not comparatively easy\, as most people think\, but one of the mos
 t difficult problems any human being has to solve. It is a task we frantic
