DESCRIPTION:Sacred Text Reading Group (Whitman)  \n\n\nA twice-weekly onlin
 e sacred text reading group. We meet on Saturdays\, 4-5\, and on Wednesday
 s\, 12-1. All are wide open and you are welcome!\n\nUsing a spiritual-prac
 tice approach\, in each session we will explore a different brief scriptur
 al text in depth. The aims of the sessions are educational (learning somet
 hing about the texts and traditions)\, spiritual/moral (discovering what t
 he texts ask of us)\, and community-building (getting to know each other b
 etter). Our practice usually follows this version of Lectio Divina.\n\nThe
  facilitator will have a version of the text available to share\; “bring
 ” your own if you like. All are welcome\, as are your suggestions of fut
 ure texts. Group members also take turns facilitating\, if they want to tr
 y that role.\n\nOur text for Wednesday\, December 29 is from "Song of Myse
 lf" by Walt Whitman:\n\n\n\nI exist as I am\, that is enough\,\nIf no othe
