Samhain (or All Hallows’ Day) is the Pagan root of Halloween. This holiday honors our ancestors and loved ones who have passed. We will have hearty food (as we recover from so much Halloween sugar!) and some beautiful rituals commemorating those who are no longer with us. We will save a seat for the departed, and we also encourage everyone who is comfortable to bring a photo to share.

Traditionally, Samhain dinner is silent, but since we will have kiddos present we will do a silent circle gathering to open the event.

Dinner begins at 7 pm. We are making some holiday dishes & desserts, please bring a side or main dish to share! We will have a bucket of pumpkins (though feel free to bring your own!) for pumpkin painting, and paper to write down a list of things you’d like to let go of at this Pagan New Year. These lists we can burn at the end of the evening as we tell stories together.

Hope to see you there!

Please RSVP to the church office though no one will be turned away for lack of RSVP!
