DESCRIPTION:Spiritual Adventures In Parenting  If you are a parent to a chi
 ld between the ages of birth and tween\, we invite you to join UUCPA’s n
 ew monthly parent group\, Spiritual Adventures In Parenting!\n\nLed by fe
 llow UUCPA parent Matt Rosin\, Spiritual Adventures In Parenting will meet
  every third Sunday\, beginning on September 17\, from 11:30a.m.–12:30
 p.m. (after the church service). Childcare will be provided. Families can
  choose to have lunch together afterward\, if they wish.\n\nAmong the many
  religious sources for contemporary Unitarian Universalism\, our faith loo
 ks to “direct experience of that transcending mystery and wonder\, affir
 med in all cultures\, which moves us to a renewal of the spirit and an ope
 nness to the forces which create and uphold life”—and parenting is one
  powerful source of such experience and spiritual deepening.\n\nSpiritual 
 Adventures In Parenting will be a forum wherein parents can\, together:\n\
 n 	Explore the spiritual dimensions and meaning of our parenting and\n 	C
 ultivate deep connections with one another.\n\nAt our first meeting on Sep
 tember 17\, we’ll get to know each other\, craft a covenant\, and distri
 bute copies of Chaos\,
Wonder\,
and the Spiritual
Adventure of
Pa
 renting\, an anthology of very short essays on parenting and spirituality 
 published by the UUA’s Skinner House Books (2011).\n\nEach subsequent mo
 nthly session will draw on a short essay or two (or three) from the anthol
 ogy and other sources as spurs to conversation and spiritual reflection.\n

 nMatt Rosin is a stay-at-home dad to two kids at UUCPA and has been involv
 ed in the church in numerous ways\, including teaching children’s religi
 ous education and Our Whole Lives comprehensive sexuality education classe
 s\, co-leading the By Your Side Singers pastoral care choir\, and serving 
 on the Mission Task Force that crafted UUCPA’s new Mission Statement. He
  holds a Ph.D. in Education from Stanford University and writes reflective
  essays on fatherhood for his newsletter\, Fatherhood Is Learning.
