Come meet some of the Unitarians who lived in Palo Alto in 1893-1933, people affiliated with the first two Unitarian congregations here. They included pacifists and people who supported the use of military force. Some were extremely wealthy, some had little money. There were immigrants and native Californians. They included librarians, sexuality educators, teachers and professors, feather renovators, entrepreneurs, scientists, and artists. For the past five years, I’ve been working on a biographical dictionary of these early Unitarians. I’ll read brief biographies of several of these fascinating early Unitarians, and try to answer any questions you might have.
