SUMMARY:UUCPA B4 Workshop
DESCRIPTION:UUCPA B4 Workshop  You are invited to the Break Barriers\, Buil
 d Beliefs (B4) workshop on Saturday\, October 10\, from 9 am to 12:30 pm. 
 This workshop is offered by the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) f
 or congregations involved in the search for a new minister. The UUCPA Sear
 ch Committee invites all lay leaders\, members\, and friends to participat
 e in this workshop. It will be entirely virtual on Zoom\, so you can join 
 in your pajamas from the comfort of your home! Our facilitator\, trained b
 y UUA\, is Reverend Alia Shinbrough (they/them).\nBreak Barriers\, Build B
 eliefs is a highly recommended part of the search process for our congrega
 tion. In it\, we will have a chance to examine how we can temper and avoid
  bias and prejudice becoming a part of our search process. Acknowledging b
 ias is yet another way to put our faith into lived experience and improve 
 the odds that\, regardless of identity\, we will find the minister who is 
 the best match for us and who will serve us well. This opportunity allows 
 the entire congregation fuller participation in the search process. It wil
 l allow us to explore our hopes and concerns for a new minister\, learn mo
 re about the search process\, and see how our history (both personal and c
 ongregational) might influence our efforts in this search.\nCome\, come\,
