What about our Children and Youth Religious Education (CYRE) program at UUCPA? Does our CYRE program fit with this mission? Do we have further goa ls for our children’s and youth programming?  You are invited to a disc ussion on our CYRE goals. \n\n\n Saturday March 30 2024\, 10 AM - 12:00 PM\n Fireside Room @ UUCPA and via Zoom\n\n Coffee and snacks will be pr ovided\n Childcare available upon request - requests needed by Tuesday Ma rch 26 at 5 pm\n\nThe CYRE program currently has these goals -\n\n\n Have fun and feel they are part of a community\;\n Gain the basic religious l iteracy expected in our society\;\n Learn the skills associated with libe ral religion\, skills such as public speaking\, group  singing\, basic le adership\, how to work together\, in-ward reflection\, and so on\;\n Prep are them to become Unitarian Universalist adults\, should they choose to d o so when they are old enough to make their own reasoned decision.\n\nAre these goals still useful? Are there new goals that would serve us better?\ nWho should come? Everyone at UUCPA has some relationship with our childre n and youth programs - from being on the CYRE Committee or teaching Sunday School\, to being a parent or buying a snack for a penny during Judean Vi llage.
