SUMMARY:What Do UUs Believe?
DESCRIPTION:What Do UUs Believe?  We’ll look at four different Unitarian 
 Universalist theologies\, and see how they might apply in the twenty-first
  century. We’ll start with Hosea Ballou’s classic statement of univers
 al salvation\, and rethink it in terms of the power of love. Next we’ll 
 look at the notion of self-reliance\, which Ralph Waldo Emerson borrowed f
 rom Mary Rotch. Third will be Bernard Loomer’s idea of the interdependen
 t web of existence. Finally\, we’ll explore William R. Jones’s notion 
 of rebellion as a path to salvation. There will be plenty of time for disc
 ussion\, so you can figure out if any of these UU theologies might work fo
