DESCRIPTION:White Folks Dismantling White Supremacy  March 25\, 2021 Topic:
  Exploring the 8th Principle\nIf you were in the Sunday service on May 16\
 , you heard about the proposed 8th Principle for Unitarian Universalism. 
  We might consider adopting the Principle for ourselves at UUCPA\, as abou
 t 30 UU congregations have already done.\nThe Dismantling White Supremacy 
 group has been talking about whether to adopt the Principle and how we mig
 ht go about it.  In our meeting this Tuesday\, we’ll be experimenting w
 ith a format for conversations about the Principle with groups at UUCPA.\n
 If you missed that service\, or if you want to know more\, or if you have 
 opinions to express\, this meeting is for you!  We would love to have you
  join us!\nZoom information will be sent to Announce@uucpa.org  and CREpa
 rents@uucpa.org on Monday.\n\nCo-sponsored by the Action Council and the A
 dult Religious Education Committee\, this study/action group meets twice a
  month\, on the second and fourth Tuesday evenings from 7:15 to 8:45 via Z
 oom. The second-Tuesday sessions\, led by Rev. Amy Zucker Morgenstern\, ar
 e focused on the series "Seeing White" from the podcast Scene on Radio. Th
 e fourth-Tuesday sessions\, led by Kristi Iverson and Susan Owicki\, are f
 ocused on action and reflection.\n\nWe are calling the group "White Folks 
 . . . " because we recognize the need for white people to do much of the w
 ork of dismantling white supremacy. It's also important to have anti-racis
 m learning spaces for white folks\, where they can grapple with new ideas 
 about racism and speak candidly about their fears and misconceptions. It c
 an be painful for people of color to witness these conversations\, so we h
 ave created this space apart from the main body of the congregation. That 
 said\, all people of whatever race or background are welcome to attend any
  or all sessions.\n\nIf you would like to participate\, please sign up to
