SUMMARY:White Folks Dismantling White Supremacy
DESCRIPTION:White Folks Dismantling White Supremacy  \n\nWe meet on the sec
 ond and fourth Tuesday of the month. On Tuesday\, March 28\, 2023\, we'll 
 be shaping our learning on race-based housing discrimination in California
 --its history\, its remedies--into the service we'll lead on April 23. We'
 ll also learn more about the history that has led to the state's historic 
 movement toward reparations.\n\nIf you would like to attend this session a
 nd are not subscribed to the email list\, please email dismantlingwhitesup
 remacy+subscribe@uucpa.org.  Zoom information for the session will be sen
 t to this list early next week.  We welcome new attendees at any time!\n\
 nAll people of whatever race or background are welcome to attend any or al
 l sessions. We call the group “White Folks . . . ” because we recogniz
 e that the work of dismantling white supremacy is for white people to do. 
 It’s also important to have anti-racism learning spaces for white folks\
 , where they can grapple with new ideas about racism and speak candidly ab
 out their fears and misconceptions. It can be painful for people of color 
 to witness these conversations\, so we have created this space apart from 
 the main body of the congregation.\n\n
