UUCPA Action Council actively encourages our congregants to buy fair-trade chocolate (and coffee and tea) to combat the child slavery pervasive in the industry and to provide cacao growers with fair compensation for their work. Who knows – we might be meeting in person this fall and we’ll be able to package and provide fair trade chocolate for Halloween again. In the meantime, please check out this list of small, green, fair trade chocolate companies provided by Green America and buy your chocolate from them.
