First Words (and Last)

—Rev. Mary McKinnon Ganz

Good People,
I am very close to running out of words for you, just as 2016 is running out of days. What are the words that sustain you? – words you would want to share, words that can carry us all into 2017? If there is a poem, a quote, or a paragraph that feels particularly apt as we enter the New Year, please bring it on Sunday, January 1, and we will create worship together by inspiring one another with these words we have chosen. And, you might also prepare your thoughts so you can tell us why these words are particularly meaningful to you as we enter a New Year – in two minutes or less. We will fit in as many of these readings and mini-sermons as we can, with time between to breathe and to sing; if you want to be certain your piece is included, please email me the title and author before New Year’s Eve.

Words or no words, I feel certain that 2017 will be a fine year for UUCPA. It has been a great honor and joy to have spent part of the old year with you. With metta, —Mary
