If you have never gone to a General Assembly of the Unitarian Universalist Association, this is a great year for your first. The location is New Orleans–such a great place to go–and the energy for “Resistance and Resilience” is high.
- Bryan Stevenson of the Equal Justice Initiative will give the distinguished Ware lecture. (If you just saw the documentary 13th, you saw him speak about mass incarceration.)
- There is a special Undoing Racism justice training workshop just before the beginning of the assembly
- This is the year we choose a new UUA president from one of the three women profiled here.
- Hundreds of workshops, services, social gatherings take place from June 21-25.
Members can request to go as delegates and participate in UUA policymaking, including the presidential election.
See you there!
