How Can I Get Involved In A UUCPA Justice Project?

One of the roles of the Action Council is to publicize to the congregation ways to be involved in justice work. Over the years this type of work has generally been referred to as “Service Projects.” However, since now there are so many ways to become involved, not all of which are technically “service,” the Action Council is now using the term “Justice Projects” on the UUCPA website. From the UUCPA main page, if you look under the menu options across the top of the page you will see one called “Justice.” In the drop-down menu, you will see “Justice Overview”. On the Justice Overview page, you will see some additional menu options on the left-hand side. One of them is Justice Partners. These are the organizations which the congregation has approved and to which we give our plate donations one Sun-day per month. Another menu option is Justice Projects ( www.uucpa.org/justice/service-projects). If you follow this link you will find a list of UUCPA justice projects for 2019 in chronological order, including the contact person for that project. If you are interested in participating in one of the upcoming projects, please reach out to the contact person. If you cannot find contact information for the contact person in the church directory or REALM, please contact the Action Council at actioncouncil@uucpa.org and we will put you in touch with the right person.
