How to Make Your Voice Heard at UUCPA

UUCPA Annual Meeting Sunday April 19, 2020. 12:45 to 3:00 p.m.

A Unitarian Universalism church is run by its member community. Participation includes attending your choice of services, classes, and events. And fully participating may also include volunteering, donating, and having a say in how the church is run.

Annual Meeting Sun. April 19, 2020

The Annual Meeting on is an important opportunity to have your say in, for example, how UUCPA’s budget supports the programs you value. To be eligible to vote at the annual meeting requires:

  • an active membership,
  • affirmation by the Board 30 days in advance, and
  • a donation of record within the past 12 months.

Become a Voting Member

If you have never formally joined UUCPA, now is the time! Pick up a membership packet in the office or at the Welcome Table on Sunday. Or print out the Declaration of Membership form from the website. Drop off the completed form at the Welcome Table or in the church office. You must drop it off by 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 12 for the Board to affirm it in time for the meeting.

If you are not sure whether you meet the criteria for voting, please call the church office at 650-494-0541 or email info@uucpa.org. If you’d like to know more about membership and how people decide whether to join, talk with Rev. Amy or Rev. Dan, or stop by the Welcome Table to talk with me: BJ Wishinsky, the Membership Engagement Coordinator. Learn more about the Annual Meeting or about membership on the Become a Member page.

You are, of course, welcome to keep participating in UUCPA life without being a voting member. We are just glad you’re here! Act now and make sure your voice is heard.
