This past week UUCPA signed on as an endorser of a “No Muslim Ban Ever” event to be held on the day the Supreme Court releases its decision on the administration’s current travel ban on the following seven countries: Iran, Libya, Somalia, Syria, Yemen, Chad, North Korea, Venezuela. The event will either be a celebration if the decision strikes down the travel ban, or a protest if the decision leaves the travel ban in place. The event will take place at Santana Row in San Jose at 5:00 p.m. on the evening of the day the decision is announced. The event is organized by the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR). The Action Council and the Board of Trustees both voted unanimously to sign on as an endorser of this event, and several positive messages were received from members of the congregation during the four day comment period.
