Make Your Voice Heard in the UUCPA Community

Once you’ve become an active member of the UUCPA community, formally joining is the next step in making your voice heard. For example, joining gives you a vote at the annual meeting and on matters of importance such as last year’s potential name change. If you’d like to take this step, please pick up a membership packet in the office or at the Welcome Table on Sunday, or print it out).

The next Annual Meeting takes place on April 14, 2019 after the second service. To be eligible to vote in this meeting:

  1. New members must be affirmed by the Board 30 days in advance. New memberships must be submitted no later than March 8 to provide enough time for Board approval (by March 13).
  2. Voting members must have made a contribution of record (check, credit card, or otherwise documented) during the past 12 calendar months.

If you are not certain whether you meet both of these criteria, please call the church office at 650-494-0541 or contact BJ Wishinsky (bjw@uucpa.org), the Membership Engagement Coordinator. Learn more about the Annual Meeting.

If you’d like to know more about what membership means and how people make the decision whether to join, ministers Amy Morgenstern and Dan Harper are happy to speak with you. Or stop by the Welcome Table on Sunday to talk with Membership Engagement Coordinator BJ Wishinsky and volunteers from the Membership & Growth Committee.

You are, of course, welcome to keep participating in UUCPA life without being a voting member. We’re just so glad you’re here. But if you’d like to make sure your voice is heard, now is a good time to act.
