The Action Council and Board have approved a request from Multifaith Voices for Peace and Justice (MVPJ) that UUCPA add our name as an endorser of this year’s annual September 11 Peaceful Presence service (http://www.multifaithpeace.org/article.php/91118). The service will be held at King Plaza in downtown Palo Alto and is open to all. It will begin at 8:00 p.m. and end promptly at 8:30 p.m. It will again be held in conjunction with the American Muslim Voice annual September 11th Peace Picnic, which will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the same location.
If you have concerns about UUCPA’s endorsement of this event, please contact the Action Council (actioncouncil@uucpa.org) or the Board of Trustees (board@uucpa.org) no later than noon Sunday, July 29th. Note that no financial contribution is required in order for us to make this endorsement. UUCPA’s name will appear in the list of sponsoring organizations on the event flyers and other publicity.
