Religion and Social Change Class – May 12

On Sunday, May 12, Rev. Amy will teach the first of a two-part ARE class on Religion and Social Change. This session will cover what is called “The Social Gospel tradition,” a 20th-century movement that sought to apply the teachings of Biblical Christianity to contemporary social problems such as poverty, addiction, inequality, exploitation, and war. Both Unitarians and Universalists were part of this movement, and Amy will explain how it has shaped our UU approach to social justice.

May 12 is a Second Sunday Lunch day. After you have your food, join us in Room 4/5. The class will last from 1 to 3 pm.
