Mark your calendars! UUCPA’s Welcoming Congregation renewal team will host an educational event on May 3, 2020, from 12:30 pm-2 pm. The event will include lessons from a Transforming Hearts Collective seminar series on understanding the experiences and needs of transgender UUs. More details will follow in the coming weeks.

The UUA’s Welcoming Congregation Renewal program provides a framework for UU churches to reaffirm our commitment to welcoming and respond to the evolving needs and concerns of LGBTQ+ people. As part of our renewal during the coming year, UUCPA commits to take such steps as:
- Spotlight LGBTQ+ inclusion and themes during at least two Welcoming Worship services, as part of the ordinary worship calendar.
- Reflect on Welcoming Days of Observance throughout the year (e.g., Transgender Day of Remembrance, National Coming Out Day).
- Offer Welcoming Congregation educational events.
- Support a Welcoming Project on behalf of an LGBTQ+ organization, campaign, or project.
