In the Christmas tradition of the Posadas (“the Inns”), Mary and Joseph travel from door to door asking for refuge, and are turned away several times. We’ll look at the story from the point of view of the people who said “no.” In this time of Advent, we ask: who and what are knocking at our door, asking for entrance, but we shut them out because, like the people in the song, we don’t yet recognize their worth? We’ll sing the Posadas and meet Joseph and Mary.
