Worthy Now

The Worthy Now Prison Network, a program of the Unitarian Universalist Church of the Larger Fellowship, “invites people on both sides of prison walls into beloved community.” They declare “that all persons are worthy of love, respect, and support — not at some future time when we are better people — but as we are right now.”

This beautiful and affirming message comes to us today from Worthy Now, an apt leader of our service on the weekend when we commemorate Martin Luther King, Jr. and commit ourselves to continuing his work for dignity and freedom for all people.

Participants in Children and Youth Religious Education and others recently wrote holiday cards to people on the other side of the prison walls. If you missed that opportunity, today’s service will give you another.
