The Summer BBQs

The summer BBQs continue up to Labor Day. On Labor Day weekend, there will be a BBQ on Monday, September 2, instead of Friday, August 30.

All are invited including non-members, friends and visitors. The BBQ area is in the back right-hand corner of the church property. We generally throw our entrees on the fire around 6 pm and begin eating at 6:15 pm.

Here’s how it works: You bring your own entrees, meat, fish, tofu – whatever. You are expected to bring a side dish (salad, fruit, vegetables, dessert) to share with up to six people and contribute $3.00 per person or $6.00 per family for incidentals. You should also consider bringing your own picnic-ware. Soft drinks are provided. Often beer & wine are available but it is not guaranteed. Weather is variable, so you might keep a sweater in your car. Plan ahead.

The hosts for the evening arrive early; setup; get the fires going and take care of clean up. Hosting rotates on a sign-up basis for those who are able.

These BBQ’s are a hidden treasure. It is a great time to get out and mingle with our great and talented Congregation on a purely social basis. There is no agenda. All topics are open.
