Annual Meeting of the Congregation
Sunday, April 19, 2015 at about 12:45 pm. (following the second Service)
Member check-in will begin at about 12:30 pm and the meeting will start at about 12:45 pm. A light brunch will be provided and childcare will be available.
Annual Meeting of the Congregation is the business meeting for the congregation. Members will be asked to vote for:
- Members of the Board of Trustees
- Representatives to the Pacific Central District Assembly and UUA General Assembly
- Members of the Nominating Committee
- Budget for FY 15-16
- Revision of the CHurch Bylaws
- Ordination of Melissa Thomson
- Other matters as determined by the Board of Trustees or proposed by Members at the meeting
Qualifications for Voting
Members must have made a contribution of record during the past 12 calendar months to be eligible to vote. New members must be affirmed by the Board 30 days before the meeting.
If unable to attend, a member may designate another member as proxy. A member may also vote on candidates by completing an absentee ballot. If you submit a proxy, you may not also submit an absentee ballot. For more information on proxies and absentee ballots see:

Nominations from the Nominating Committee
The Nominating Committee is proud to present the following Candidates
to be elected at the next annual meeting: The 2014 nominating committee is
Edith Drewek, Paula Hillard, Nancy Jensen, Beth Nord, and Jenny Robertson.
For the Board of Trustees:
The Board of Trustees has from 9 to 13 members, elected by the congregation. Each member is elected for a 3 year term, with 4 or 5 members elected each year. If a member is not able to complete the 3 year term, members may be elected to fulfill the remaining years of the terem. The Board may also appoint members to fill vacancies until the next Annual Meeting. The President of the Board is selected by the Board. The term of office is from May 1 to April 30.

We are allowed six delegates and we can use alternates for both General
Assembly and District Assembly. These may be nominated from the
floor or appointed by the Board, if necessary. Please contact the Nominating
Committee if you wish to be a delegate.

Nominations by Petition
For Board of Trustees, the Bylaws state the names of the nominees who say previously have agreed to server if elected, shall be published at least 30 days before the date of the annual meeting. Additional nominations may be made until April 6 by petition signed by at least 3 other members besides the nominee. Petitions shall be filed with the Nominating Committee at least 12 days before the annual meeting date. At this time the nominations will be closed and the Nominating Committee shall process and present all nominees both from the committee and by petition in the same manner.
Justice Partner Nominees
Each Sunday, we give 10% of the offering to a charity. The charity that will receive this money changes each month. What will the charities be for thecoming church year? You can help to decide. The Action Council researches organizations and presents them to the congregation to approve at the Annual Meeting. If you would like to suggest a group to be considered as a Justice Partner, please email ActionCouncil@uucpa.org
