UUCPA campus fencing update

If you’ve been by the church lately, you may be wondering why it has sprouted bright orange vinyl fencing.

While we like to be welcoming, passersby have been wandering through the campus during the pandemic, picnicking near the preschoolers while the children play outdoors (sometimes within six feet), and peeking through the Main Hall windows at all hours. It’s been stressful for the on-campus preschool and our Heart and Home women’s shelter guests. The orange fencing is a temporary visual deterrent to let passersby know that the campus is closed to visitors during the pandemic.

Installation of signs and more extensive and more robust (but still temporary!) fencing is planned for one of the upcoming UUCPA Saturday Workdays.
