UUCPA Solar Canopy Construction Resumes Monday, June 4

All the issues with the contractors having been ironed out, construction on the solar canopy project will resume on Monday, June 4.  Nearly all the construction will take place in the church front yard, near the exit driveway.  From June 4 through June 25, please DO NOT PARK in the entrance drive or the exit drive.  There is some chance the exit drive may be blocked for short time periods and the entrance drive will have to allow for two-directional traffic.  If that occurs, please be careful.  As always, look out for children in the driveways and parking lots.  Summer camps will be starting in the next two weeks.

The construction is scheduled for two weeks, followed by a week of inspections.  The contractor will be installing a transformer and other electrical equipment, and connecting that equipment with the solar canopies in the parking lot and with the city’s vault in the street.
Before the construction actually ends, the Curb Appeal Project will be starting the landscaping work to repair the damage done to the church’s front yard by all the digging.  We are contracting with Shubha Landscape Design Inc. to do the installation according to a design by Nancy Neff and the Curb Appeal Committee.
Please let me know if you have questions or concerns.
