Eid Festival (celebration of Muslim holidays)

Eid marks the end of the month-long dawn-to-sunset fasting of Ramadan and is therefore a feast day, as well as a religious holiday, and is often marked by gatherings of the family and friends. Being charitable to take care of the less fortunate is an important part of Eid.  The name Eid al-Fitr translates as “the festival of the breaking of the fast”.
