Since the age of 4, Mayo has been a student of the performing arts, studying classical piano for over 20 years, then singing in choirs, and then delving into musical theater and opera. There was also a brief detour into the world of competitive pairs dancing. She’ll talk about some of her many adventures in the performing arts world, and share some of the joys and lessons learned along the way. Is it possible, even desirable, to be a repeat beginner?
