The Possibilities and Pains of Modern Fatherhood

The social rules of parenting are changing. Modern dads are stepping out of board meetings and into playgroups and other places once identified primarily with motherhood. And this makes men and women vulnerable to one another in new ways. UUCPA’s Matthew Rosin, author and stay-at-home dad, will lead a thoughtful discussion of the possibilities and pains of modern fatherhood, drawing in part on his own newly-published works.

Matthew Rosin started out professional life as an education policy researcher and holds a Ph.D. in Education from Stanford University. Then he changed course to raise his kids and pursue his own creative writing. Some of his writings on fatherhood started out as reflections for Sunday-morning church services as a UUCPA Worship Associate.
